What are we actually asking?
We’re not asking Athletic Directors to start a team tomorrow.
We’re asking all of them to learn more, listen to their students and communities, and support the conversation about girls flag football in Nebraska.

Girls across Nebraska are already playing and competing in this sport, and the opportunity continues to grow. Nebraska now also has a Division I women's varsity flag football program at the University of Nebraska, with its inaugural competitive season coming in spring 2027.
I believe Nebraska girls should have the opportunity to represent their high schools in the sport they love — and to have a high school pathway that can eventually lead to opportunities like this.
Our immediate goal is to find one Nebraska Athletic Director willing to step forward and explore sponsoring a proposal through the NSAA. But we also want Athletic Directors across Nebraska to hear directly from the players, families and communities who want this opportunity.
